Poetry: Operation Paper Clip

Hank William was born in the post dystopian hell scape of the fertile California delta. Raised on the coast amongst coastal elite and the riff raff of society, Hank learned lessons at an early age about oppression, manufactured scarcity, and the fight for liberation. Trained in political theatre and plying their craft these days in the seedy sub reddits of the internet, Hank William writes in the voice of the oppressed, delivering prose as a way to process and alchemize the collective grief of post democracy.

They kidnapped a brown man/

And they hide him from his family/

They didn’t hold him for ransom/

But showed his image in the stampede/ S

oldiers all along the bedroom/

And all lined up on the street/

They never surrender only defeat/

They wanna take his land/

And all the spoils of the war/

Siphon all his oil America you whore/

They call him a trafficker/

Supplying colonial vice/

They take all your shit at the roll of the dice/

Bombing fishing boats on sea/

They show that shit on live Tv/

My finger not on the trigger/

But my conscious is at fault/

Adding more treasure to the federal vault/

Chorus

War time powers with out declaring the war/

Taking all we want and taking some more/ T

hey say this for county and American empire/

They’ll say they didn’t know you dirty fucking liar/

These spoils of oppression get dirtier and gross/

America the beautiful haunted by 6 million ghost/

V2

Geronimo the brave the first one of many/

Leaders turned slave in the land of plenty/

Saddn huessein and the kadafi index/

Department of war saying who’s next/

Lead by that lush they call Pete hesgeth/

Tribunals will see he meets his death/

War crimes conducted in your dollars name/

They play for keeps in this dirty game/

Hogging all the turns they won’t give up/

Scared to say when till the jig is up/

They’ll never give it up scared of repercussion/

They’ll never let us talk scared of the discussion/

They’ll meet their makers dine with white Jesus/

Act like our savior when they try to free us/

Claim their ignorant say they know nothing/

They killed all the Nazis who claimed that bluffing/

Well some made it they didn’t have to pay/

Cuz those Nazis joined the great USA/
